When everything goes well, the photographer falls in love with the couple or the idea of the couple during their wedding. I fell in love with Arielle and Andrew at their incredible engagement shoot and they both truly became one of my “muse couples” who I felt the need to create something fresh and amazing for. It helped that they were both art lovers and were getting married at one of my all time favorite locations ,the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. It’s an incredible location to get married at, surrounded by modern art and rolling hills. Truly a photographer’s dream. Arielle and Andrew brought their wonderful style to the wedding with a “circle theme” from amazing metal spheres that each guest was given as part of the seating chart to the lasercut circles on their invitations, to the circular sculpture by DeWitt Godfrey, that they walked through to get to the ceremony. Paula from Marerro Events did it again with wonderful coordination as did Ilex Designs.
The florals from Ilex established the color for the wedding with these vibrant coral-orange colors that went beautifully with the J Crew coral bridesmaid dresses. Gray, Gold and Silver were added as accents in decor and jewelry like the lovely artsy earings Arielle gave to all her bridesmaids by artist Jess Panza , along with the paper products by Lynne at Inviting Company. SocialLightBoston did a beautiful job at li hting the always gorgeous Sperry Tent. Catering by East meets West was really fabulous too. They make such pretty food!
Most dazzling of all was the positively sculptural dress Arielle wore by Peter Langner. It went so well with the space and artwork there. It’s so great when a bride really celebrates her location in every way! Her Rene Caovilla shoes , one of the oldest luxury shoe brands in the world, completed the look.
I also absolutely fell in love with Rabbi Carl Perkins from Needham, MA who kept it all together and brought so much humor, personality and love to this day. Thank you Rabbi Perkins for everything.
SOHO, one of my ultimate top favorite bands of all time, delivered an amazing performance as they ALWAYS DO! They are so talented and amazing and they keep me dancing while I’m shooting which is the best. Thankyou!
I would be totally remiss if I also didn’t mention Arielle’s amazing hairdresser, Kevin Hadfield . He is seriously one to watch. So talented! Makeup was spectacular as well by the supremely talented Kerri Herlihy. Thanks Kerri and Kevin for delivering me such beauty to photograph.
I also had so much fun photographing the girls getting ready at Arielle’s amazing parent’s house. I could absolutely see where Arielle got her love of art from and it was so much fun to photograph there as well. Thanks to Arielle’s amazing mom too! Arielle’s parents also surprised the couple with a “Day Of” painting by Sheila Foley! She is truly amazing. Seriously, people, hire her for something really special at your wedding.
A HUGE thank you to my incredible second shooter, Leah Latham. I don’t know what I would do without you darling!
Here is the beautiful couple in front of the famous Two Big Black Hearts by Jim Dine.
