I LOVE when engaged couples think outside the box and get really creative with their shoot. Trevor and Jim came up with the engagement portrait to end all engagement portraits since Trevor is an art director. Trevor’s  friends and colleagues, the fabulous Verne (prop stylist) and Tara (art producer) created three distinctly different scenes to photograph to celebrate the engagement of two really special people. It was an honor to photograph and to work with such talented people.
The first themed Tennis scene had a wonderful  “Tannenbaums” playful feel to it.Â
and then they changed from their fabulous nostalgic garb into this more kind of postmodern tennis look that was also a lot of fun.
Trevor and Jim exchanged watches rather than rings for their engagement!
The shoot totally morphed into a “Margaret Bourke-White” look when we we traveled to the beach to do a “Safari” themed shoot. Verne, the prop stylist, just totally outdid himself with the leather suitcases, campaign chests, globes, pith helmets, you name it. It was amazing!
In between all this eye candy and fabulousness, the team played and had fun. If only every day were like this! Here is a combination of the lunacy that Verne and Tara brought to Trevor and Jim’s shoot:
I call these “engagement shoot bloopers”
aren’t you glad we lost the head band!?
This shoot was so great that Trevor, Tara and Verne have decided to start a little side business as a team for hire to style other engagement shoots, so…… announcing….
to reach the amazing team!
